Bill Ford, a board member at ByteDance, stated that it is in everyone’s interest for TikTok to continue operating.

Speaking at an event in Davos, Switzerland, he said, "We are likely to finalize the terms of negotiations by the end of this week. The Chinese government, the U.S. government, social media companies, and the executive board are all part of these discussions."

He further mentioned that there are certainly multiple potential solutions to this issue.

After assuming office on January 20, President Donald Trump signed an executive order delaying the enforcement of a law that would ban TikTok for 75 days.

Under this law, TikTok was directed to sell its operations in the U.S. by January 19; otherwise, it would face a ban.

In his first term, Trump attempted to ban TikTok, but now he claims to have changed his mind as he has become accustomed to using the app.

On January 21, Trump stated, "I have the authority to negotiate a deal."

He also mentioned that he might ask Elon Musk, the owner of X (formerly Twitter), or Oracle Chairman Larry Ellison to take control of the app.

As of now, TikTok’s future in the U.S. remains shrouded in uncertainty, and unless an agreement is reached, the possibility of a ban still looms.
